Sunday, August 15	APWQ Association of Pacific West Quilters, first Quilting Symposium, August 12-15 at Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Trunk Show:

See first-hand almost all of the 85 postcards pictured in the book, including those in picture frames. Inexpensive kits of fabric and trims to make some of the postcards pictured in the book (along with newer designs) may be made available during Trunk Shows. Trunk show is presented as a table display, with author available to answer questions or sign books. Author will bring books for sale at guild meetings or other venues that do not carry the book. Generally one or two hours; a live demo of postcards being constructed and quilted may be included.

By special arrangement, sample postcards, books, and a selection of kits can be sent on consignment to a shop or guild.

Classes/Workshops:

Classes are generally three hours, for up to 12 students of varying skills, with each quilter making the postcard of their choice.

Engagements beyond a one-hour drive of Vancouver, WA: fee will be plus travel expenses. Nearest airport is PDX Portland, Oregon. If a neighboring guild or shop will contract for additional classes or lectures, expenses can be shared between the two.
