“Dragonflies in Gingko Garden”

Because I love dragonflies so much, I knew I had to make a dragonfly quilt. Years ago, I couldn’t find a pattern, so I played with graph paper until I worked this block out. Then I made 42 blocks of dragonflies, using different fabrics for the wings.

I thought the gingko print went well with the blues. You’ll see more of the gingko fabric in the postcard book, “Gingko Leaves,” page 76. This quilt was exhibited at the Metropolitan Patchwork Quilt Society show and the Northwest Quilters show.
