“Divinely Feminine” - NFS

The Glendale (California) Quilt Guild included a judged category for quilted postcards in their 28th Annual quilt show, March 16-18, 2007.   I was delighted to learn that my quilted postcard, "Divinely Feminine," had been chosen for the First Place prize!  I subsequently learned that the postcard also won "Viewer's Choice" First Place for the show!! 

This postcard includes two cotton prints with an organza overlay, machine quilting, hand quilting, along with an embellishment of a chiffon sequined butterfly applique.  The face came from a print made for a tea cozy (her heavenly look is the aroma of freshly brewed tea!)  A multi-color ribbon trims part of the border.

This postcard will be displayed in a 5" x 7" shadow box frame and offered for sale; contact Bonnie by email if you are interested.
