The deep green fern print background contrasts well with the multi-color pink crochet work on the hanky edge, and the pink of the embroidered applique, trimmed with pink beads, as well as the matching pink richly-textured braided trim for the edges of the postcard. A hanky corner with hardanger has been layered on top of the hanky with the crochet. The lace and flowers provide a "sweet" feel to this postcard kit. See Technique #5 in the book for tips on making quilted postcards from vintage hankies. This quilted postcard would make a lovely Birthday or Thank-You card for someone special.
