Butterfly and Fern Hanky Kit

The green fern background print contrasts well to show off the fancy work on this vintage hanky--a flower design in fine hardanger, hemstitching, and raised embroidery of a finely detailed butterfly and tiny flowers. The richly scalloped edge of the hanky can be enhanced by topstitching the lace so that the lace peeks from under the hanky's edge. A multi-green ombre ribbon is included to trim the postcard edges, along with a gold-colored butterfly charm. See Technique #5 in the book for tips on making quilted postcards from vintage hankies. This quilted postcard would look great in a small frame!
